These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of theverdict.wtf and all related services provided by The Verdict (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use The Verdict. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion, without notice or refund.
When you submit a verdict, you grant The Verdict a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and sublicense your verdict content (including written reasoning) for any purpose, including:
You retain no ownership rights over submitted verdicts and are not entitled to compensation from the commercial use of verdict data, even if it is included in datasets sold to third parties.
Upon account deletion, personally identifiable elements of your verdict data will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy. Anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you may be retained.
All platform content, design, code, trademarks, and branding are owned by The Verdict and may not be used without our written permission.
The Verdict is free to use. There are no paid plans or subscriptions. All features are available to all users at no cost. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future with reasonable notice.
XP, judicial titles, and leaderboard rankings are features of the platform and have no monetary value. We may adjust XP calculations, title thresholds, or leaderboard mechanics at any time. Titles and XP are non-transferable and are forfeited upon account termination. Attempts to artificially inflate XP will result in account suspension.
The platform is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Verdict and its operators, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Verdict and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of the platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of a third party.
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or other lawful grounds. Upon termination, your right to use the platform immediately ceases. Sections 4, 7, 8, and 9 of these Terms survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of that jurisdiction. If you are an EU/EEA consumer, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence will also apply.
We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days in advance. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use and delete your account.
